    Students Compete in NeuroTEC/Synaptech Hackathon

    NeuroTEC UW and Synaptech UW teamed up to host the second NeuroTEC x Synaptech Hackathon at the Center for Neurotechnology.

    Azadeh Yazdan co-leads team to develop AI-guided brain stimulation methods

    CNT member Azadeh Yazdan is co-leading a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional team that recently received a grant from the NIH to develop neural engineering techniques guided by artificial intelligence and aimed at better treatments for mental health disorders.

    CNT Students Present Their Research in Prague, Czech Republic

    Last month, Samantha Sun and Courtnie Paschall, both CNT and UW Department of Bioengineering graduate students, traveled 5,210 miles from Seattle, USA to Prague, Czech Republic to present their work at the annual IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics.

    UW ECE Labs Host Undergraduate Students Studying Neurotechnology

    This summer, UW ECE labs are hosting five undergraduate students from across the country who are learning about neurotechnology. The students are part of a larger cohort placed at labs across the UW campus to take part in the Research Experience for Undergraduates through the Center for Neurotechnology.

    Julien Bloch Wins the 2022 CNT Best Paper Award

    Julien Bloch, PhD student in the University of Washington Department of Bioengineering who works in the lab of Center for Neurotechnology faculty member Dr. Azadeh Yazdan-Shahmorad, was named the 2022 recipient of the CNT Best Paper Award for Neurotechnology Advancement.

    New Neurotechnology Pathway in UW ECE

    The University of Washington Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering will offer a new degree program of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering (BSECE) with a Pathway in Neurotechnology.

    CNT Awarded New NSF REU Grant

    The Center for Neurotechnology has been awarded a new National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) award. This REU Site award will support the training of 10 students for 10 weeks each summer from 2022 to 2024.

    James Rosenthal receives Yang Research Award
