HONORS AND AWARDS

Many accolades for personnel in the laboratory of UW CNT faculty member Azadeh Yazdan including Sophia Shan (UW College of Engineering Herbold Fellowship); Felix Schwock (UW ECE Outstanding Mentorship Award); Anne Pierce (UW BioE Teaching/Mentoring award for an outstanding postdoc); Jasmine Zhou (UW BioE Research award for an outstanding graduate student); Rachel Mariko Iritani (UW BioE Research award for an outstanding undergraduate student).
MIT CNT faculty member Polina Anikeeva has been named the new head of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT.

CNT IN THE NEWS

CNT co-director Rajesh Rao describes how brain-inspired AI architecture may make complex problems simpler to solve.

On August 14, 2024, students in the CNT Research Experience for Undergraduates and UW ENDURE program attended the summer research symposium at the University of Washington where they presented their work.

Last month the CNT collaborated with the UW Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking and Technology (DO-IT) program to provide hands-on experiences in neuroscience disciplines, networking opportunities, and resources to high school students who identify as neurodivergent learners.
