Congratulations to Tom Daniel, one of the founding members of the Center for Neurotechnology and who served as its interim director, who is now the CEO of the Washington Research Foundation.
Congratulations to Courtnie Paschall, Jason Hauptman, Rajesh Rao, Jeffrey Ojemann and Jeffrey Herron for the International BCI Award nomination of their project titled "In virtualis re: An Intracortical NeuroHaptic Interface in Virtual Reality." Winners will be announced on October 11, 2022.

CNT members attended the 2022 NSF Engineering Research Center (ERC) Biennial Meeting. The CNT was one of seven ERCs that officially "graduated." Theater of Thought is a new film by Werner Herzog. The film explores the potential medical benefits and ethical risks of neurotechnology. The documentary includes interviews with CNT members Rajesh Rao, Sara Goering, Eb Fetz and Polina Anikeeva. University of Washington students can earn a minor in Neural Computation and Engineering and a graduate certificate in Neural Computation and Engineering. These programs provide students with training in quantitative, mathematical, engineering and computational approaches to problems in neuroscience.
