TRANSFORMING TECHNOLOGY ETHICS EDUCATION

CNT Neuroethics Fellow Marion Boulicault is part of a team working on transforming ethics education in a technical curriculum. Along with her colleague, Milo Phillips-Brown, she is building an interdisciplinary, multimodal and fully immersive approach to ethics education at MIT.

HONORS AND AWARDS

• Congratulations to Polina Anikeeva, CNT faculty member at MIT, for being named a 2020 MacVicar Faculty Fellow.
• Congratulations to Tim Brown and Ryan Calo for being awarded a MacArthur Foundation X-Grant to support a workshop hosted by the CNT about the social impacts of brain-machine interfaces.

The CNT Hackathon gives students hands-on experience developing neurotechnology prototypes
Students who participate in the CNT Hackathon receive a unique opportunity to augment their coursework by working closely with peers to design and develop neurotechnology prototypes aimed at addressing real-world clinical issues.

Using theater to encourage equity and inclusion
The CNT is going beyond achieving traditional recruitment goals for underrepresented groups. In addition to other diversity efforts, the center is facilitating a deeper level of equity and inclusion through an interactive theatrical performance developed as a workshop for faculty, students and staff.
