Congratulations to
Amir Alimohammad, CNT faculty member at San Diego State University, for receiving a three-year National Science Foundation award for his project titled "
Reconfigurable and Programmable Processor Architectures for Brain-Computer Interfacing." The project seeks to create a transformative brain-implantable processor for drastically relaxing power-hungry wireless neural data transmission through the skull while directly controlling prosthetics in real-time, enabling the rehabilitation of patients. The processor will be tested by his CNT collaborators at the University of Washington,
Eberhard Fetz and
Steve Perlmutter.
Congratulations to Mehrdad Jazayeri, CNT faculty member at the Massachusetts Institute for Technology (MIT), for
receiving tenure at MIT.
